The view is spectacular : If the eight vintage tractors in the Delaware County Tractor Square Dancers somewhere in Ohio chug on a field at a festival or a classic car show, there's always lots of ahs and ohs in the audience. Four women and four men on 50's and Farmall John Deere s, the tractors decorated gender justice with pants and skirts. And then the music: Pounding rhythms of American folk music. The tractor began to move, and during the so-called "caller" specifies the formations, the pilots their old tractor curl formation dance on the field. Rear wheels turn in the millimeter distance from each other, so that an already the viewing of very dizzy.

It all began in 1993 as Ed Moore heard from Delaware County in Ohio, but elsewhere there are actually people who dance with their old tractors. As he himself has always been much fun at the American folk dance, square dance, had proclaimed that: We also try. So Ed drummed together seven friends from the neighborhood and their executors.

Since then asked the dancers very Tractor. Up to three 40-minute performances per day, 4 women and 4 men put on their John Deere s and Farmall out. And while before the first appearance of the weld was of six samples Square Dancers practicing today after almost 15 years any more. If they want to try a new dance or refresh the memory of an old dance, they go before the show only in thought necessary by the steps. Then they go easy on the stretcher, put a fourth gear and get started.
